  2. Colourstrings kindergarten aims to provide all the skills that a child requires to be musically ready. This is learnt in a group situation which allows the children to play and learn from each other. For the most natural transition onto a musical instrument it is recommended that these building blocks are put into place first.

  3. Instrumental lessons requires a young child to focus in a one to one situation and also to develop the discipline of practice at home. It is important that the child's love and experience of music out weighs the effort that's required if they are to develop a genuine love for playing.

  4. By the age of 6 or 7 children are starting to concentrate in a much more focussed way. They are becoming more disciplined and ready to progress onto instrumental lessons.
